25-27 SEPTEMBER 2015

Trieste Next

Trieste is the City of Science, with its 2 universities, over 30 international research institutes and 35 researchers every 1,000 inhabitants. Its Mitteleuropean vibe was celebrated by James Joyce, Italo Svevo, Umberto Saba and, in more recent times, Claudio Magris. Trieste Next-European Forum of Scientific Research is an “open-air lab” of applied research and new technologies. Trieste Next 2015 will be entitled “BIOlogos – The Future of Life” and aims at discussing the interactions between research, welfare, industry and ethics. The Forum will feature a huge exhibition area in the city’s main square, Piazza Unità, with science labs and interactive arcades, and a rich calendar of conferences and workshops.

International students will have the opportunity to:

  • meet international researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs
  • join guided visits within Trieste’s international research centres: SISSA, ICTP, ICGEB, Immaginario Scientifico, TWAS, just to name a few
  • visit the city of Trieste and its historical sites

International study tours start on Thursday 25 September and include full-board accomodation for the whole duration of the event; bus transfers; special program of activities; recreational events; scientific publications.
